I’m a bit excited as I jumped on Spoonflower on Friday night and have ordered a test swatch of what I hope will be labels I can sew on my handmade creations. It’ll be nice to put a stamp on the gifts I make.

I also hope that my 2 packages of fabric will arrive this week. One contains fabric for quilts for Hamish Bear and my new nephew who will make his arrival in November or December and the other has fabric for a quilt and a few other bits a pieces for my new niece who could arrive any day now!! So very exciting!

Last Friday my baby girl turned 3.

I loved this birthday as she was so excited about it. She really had an understanding of it being her special day (and that she would get presents!). I love the pure surprise and excitement that this age brings, its so special.

We celebrated on Saturday with a Lalaloopsy party. I had taken her to see the movie at the cinema back in February and she has loved the dolls since. I do have a tendency to go a bit overboard with parties, but the look on her face when my husband bought her over to my parents home (the party venue) after her swimming lesson was worth all the work.

She had an absolute ball….next year might be a quiet little family trip to the snow….

Busy, busy, busy!

Wow, I am exhausted!
The last 2 weeks have been busy and hectic with Bear having his 12 month immunisations (only 2 months late!) and suffering almost all the common reactions. Then Button also caught a cold which has now made its way to hubby and I! Both have been little troopers though and smiled through it all.
Today is the first day of school holidays and Tashabel and I gave her bedroom a detox and mini-makeover (new curtains and doona cover). I wish I had taken some before pics, but I’ll try to get some afters once I have made her some new cushion covers.

Planning for Button’s 3rd Birthday is well underway. She is in love with Lalaloopsy and although I’m not a huge fan of mass produced toys that seem to have an endless amount of merchandise that goes along with it all, these dolls are quite sweet. Each is a rag doll that magically came to life when their last stitch was sewn and has his or her own personality based on the fabric they were made from. Plenty of work to be done, I’m busy gathering ideas on Pinterest (you can see my board hereĀ Tilly’s 3rd Birthday)

I also need to get my butt into gear as I’m so behind on many sewing projects and bits and pieces for the kids. I have been making these photo’s for Button’s birthdays and still need to do one for Bear. I just have to decide which picture to use!

I also made Tilly a little story about her for her first birthday and have stared Hamish’s but so much to do still!
Guess I better get to work!
